The flagship program at Arugot is a learning and therapy center – children learn in regular schools and come to the Center for approximately 4 hours a week to receive help. The approach is holistic – following an assessment, a specially tailored program for each child is prepared by the team of multi-disciplinary staff members. Therapies include Remedial Tutoring (for dyslexia, dysgraphia, numeracy, school readiness), Emotional Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology. Parents benefit from parental guidance and support groups. Outreach programs in the community promote the concept of early intervention. We work hand in hand with school principals, teachers and parents. Early intervention provides children with the key to success in learning, and a child who succeeds in school is less likely to drop out of the system.
